MOOLLONKYEN [Moo-long Ken] is a London-based composer, sound artist and performer creating music and sonic worlds for film, documentary, television, installation, digital exhibition and immersive performance.
Her work begins with audible storytelling: the idea that music and sound can carry emotion, memory and tension beyond what is seen on screen. Moving between melody, texture, rhythm, voice and space, MoollonKyen creates sound worlds that support narrative while opening hidden emotional layers within the image.
Her screen and sound practice includes original scoring, sound design, dialogue editing, spatial audio and stereo/5.1 mixing, with work across short film, feature documentary, VR experience, experimental film, educational media and Korean television drama.
Alongside her composition and sound work, MoollonKyen is the vocalist, keyboardist and songwriter of BluntKnees, a London-based piano-driven alternative rock trio creating heavy sound without guitars. Their music blends alternative rock, trip-hop, electronic, psychedelic and contemporary classical influences into dark, cinematic songs shaped by voice, piano, bass, drums and visual performance.
